Do I need a Visa to enter the United States?
Visa requirements vary based on national origin, current residence, previous travel, and passport eligibility.
- The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) allows citizens of 40 participating countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business without a visa for up to 90 days.

How to Apply for a Visa
Wait times for visa in certain countries can be significant. ASN recommends that attendees apply for a visa as soon as travel is anticipated. Travelers will need to complete an application, provide a photograph, and may require an interview. Contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your country for specific application procedures. Letter of Invitation
Invitation letters will be available for print or download upon completion of your online meeting registration. This invitation is intended to facilitate travel and visa arrangements but does not extend financial support. For assistance, please contact meetings@nutrition.org.
Please note: ASN cannot intervene with either U.S. embassies abroad or with the U.S. Department of State. It is recommended that you bring your letter of invitation as well as your meeting registration confirmation to your visa interview.
