All members are eligible to join one or more Research Interest Sections (RIS). The RIS are communities designed to provide a mechanism for topic-specific discussion. Research Interest Sections include Community and Public Health Nutrition, Diet and Cancer, Energy and Macronutrient Metabolism, Experimental Animal Nutrition, Dietary Bioactive Compounds and more.
Additionally, ASN’s three Councils represent the broad spectrum of nutrition research among its members. Members are encouraged to join one or more of the following Scientific Councils: Medical Nutrition, International Nutrition, and Nutritional Sciences.
In recognition of our members’ professional accomplishments, ASN annually administers over twenty awards. ASN members are also eligible to earn CME credits for professional development.
