Getting Here
By Air
- Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is located in Virginia just outside of DC and has two terminals, the Historic Terminal 1 which opened in 1941 and is now the primary terminal for Southwest Airlines and Terminal 2 housing all other airlines flying into DCA. DCA has a limited number of international flights primarily serving destinations such as Canada and the Caribbean.
- Dulles International Airport (IAD) is located in north western Virginia and houses one large terminal with five concourses (A,B,C,D, and Z) which operate 113 gates. IAD is the primary international airport in the DC Metro area.
- Dulles International Airport offers Dulles Taxi service to get you to your final destination upon arrival.

- Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is located in Baltimore, Maryland and is the busiest airport in the region serving over 27 million passengers.
By Rail
Washington DC Union Station is served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system of the United States. Designed by famed architect Daniel Burnham, Union Station is a Beaux-Arts masterpiece that adds to the rich culture of Washington DC.
The Alexandria Virginia Amtrack Station is served by Amtrak and VRE Commuter Trains with the metro nearby.

Getting Around the City

- Ride Share – Both Uber and Lyft have a presence in Washington, DC & National Harbor
- Water Taxi – The DC area offers and easy and scenic way to get around with stops at the Wharf, Georgetown, Old Town Alexandria, and National Harbor.
- Metro – The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (METRO) is the DC Metro Area’s high capacity public transport rail system. The metro is an easy low cost way to navigate the city of Washington DC. For more information and route maps click here.
Travel Reminder
