Student Awards

Student Interest Group (SIG) Travel Award Contest

Thanks to the support of the Dairy Research Institute, the SIG provides students the opportunity to receive $150 based on their abstracts and presentations at the ASN Scientific Sessions and Annual Meeting at Experimental Biology each year. Applicants will be narrowed to a number of finalists based on submitted abstracts assessed on scientific merit and specifically, the following: research design, experimental methodology, conclusions, and significance of findings to scientific knowledge. Authors of the abstracts selected for final judging will be advised by early March that their presentations will be judged during their EB scheduled presentation time. All applicants must be a student member of ASN as well as a first author on the submitted abstract.

Applications are currently closed. Click here to access the 2017 application. For additional information please contact Michelle Hendley at (240) 428-3613.
