Rockville, MD (April 7, 2026) – Following the close of its recent awards cycle, the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) Foundation (ASNF) is issuing a special, limited-time call for nominations to support new and returning award opportunities across the nutrition field. 

This supplemental call is highlighted by the inaugural Sylvia Rowe Award for Excellence in Nutrition Science Communications, established to recognize Sylvia Rowe’s significant contributions to the field and to ASN. The call also marks the return of the Herbalife Nutrition Scholarship after a two-year hiatus, alongside select additional awards that remain open for nomination. 

Honorees will be recognized at ASN’s annual flagship meeting, NUTRITION 2026, July 25 – 28 in National Harbor, Maryland, just outside Washington, DC, where a global community of researchers, clinicians, educators, industry leaders, and policymakers gather to advance evidence-based nutrition.

The nomination deadline is Monday, May 18, 2026. All nomination materials must be submitted electronically through the ASN Foundation Portal.

This is an opportunity to recognize leaders, innovators, and rising stars who are making a lasting impact on the field. Awards in this cycle include:

Self-nominations, as well as nominations on behalf of other nutrition professionals, are welcome. Please note that certain awards have additional requirements that are defined in their descriptions. Award winners will be notified by June 1, 2026.
