Call for Nominations: ANDP Leadership Positions

The Academic Nutrition Departments and Programs (ANDP) Community is pleased to announce a 30-day call for nominations for upcoming vacancies on the ANDP Board. This is a great opportunity to help shape the future of the ANDP community and support academic nutrition leadership. Board members are required to:

• Whenever possible, attend all ANDP events, including ANDP Board Zoom meetings and in-person ANDP meetings at NUTRITION and the Joint Fall meeting with the Council of Food Science Administrators (CFSA);
• Assist with ANDP Board duties, such as the development of ANDP projects and communications.

We are seeking nominations for the following positions: 

Chair-Elect (3-year commitment: Chair-Elect, Chair, Past-Chair — with an encouraged 4th year as ASN Board Representative) 

• The Board Chair shall preside at the Annual Meeting, other Member meetings, and at meetings of the Board. Responsibility for organizing the Annual Meeting shall reside with the Chair of the Board or the Board’s designee. The Chair or the Board’s designee shall also represent the ANDP on all matters of official business. In the event of the absence of the Chair in connection with any duly called meeting of the Members or the Board, the Chair Elect shall preside.  

Secretary (3-year commitment) 

• The Secretary shall act as recording secretary at Member meetings and Board meetings, and in connection therewith shall keep the minutes of all meetings and be responsible for the proper distribution of all required notices.  

At-Large Member (3-year commitment) 

• The Member-at-Large shall be responsible for leading efforts to increase ANDP Membership.
