Annual Nutrition Meeting
NUTRITION, ASN’s flagship annual meeting, gathers the top scientific researchers, practitioners, global and public health professionals, policy makers and advocacy leaders, industry, media and other related professionals gather to advance nutrition science and its practical application.
NUTRITION 2026, will take place in in National Harbor, Maryland, just outside Washington, DC, July 25–28, 2026

The Russell Klein Nutrition Research Symposium (RKS) is an annual symposium organized by The Graduate Society of Nutritional Sciences at The Ohio State University. This symposium is dedicated to the remembrance of Dr. Russell Klein, a beloved mentor and professor in Nutrition who lost his battle with cancer in 2006. It highlights Dr. Klein’s passion for guiding students in their journey to build impactful and fulfilling careers by providing a platform to promote nutrition research. The Symposium is free to attend and brings together students, researchers, clinicians, and industry partners.
RKS features student oral presentations, poster sessions, and invited keynote speakers. This year, we will hear talks from Dr. Edward Giovannucci (Professor of Nutrition and Epidemiology, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health) and Dr. Stephen Hursting (AICR/WCRF Distinguished Professor of Nutrition and Cancer, UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health), along with a special session on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. You will hear from members of the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC): Drs. Steven Clinton, Heather Eicher-Miller, Chris Taylor, and Edward Giovannucci. A panel will follow their presentation where attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the DGA with the Advisory Committee members.
This conference is promoted in cooperation with the American Society for Nutrition.

Academic Nutrition Departments and Programs (ANDP) is a community within ASN comprised of directors of undergraduate and graduate nutrition departments and programs across the United States and this meeting is open only to nutrition and food science department heads or their representatives.
